A bit more sunshine will start to break through heading into Sunday. We'll still see more clouds than anything, but the sun should break through some. Temps will be just a touch warmer on Sunday with highs in the upper 30's.
Things will continue to warm up as our next big system moves into the area. We'll see mostly cloudy skies and climbing temps Monday as the system approaches. Scattered rain showers will move in Monday evening, then we'll continue with off and on rain through Tuesday and Tuesday night. Colder air will move in on the back side of this system early Wednesday afternoon. This will mean a messy mix of rain and snow through the middle of the day, then a change to all snow into the late afternoon. Light scattered snow will then continue overnight and through Christmas Day.
Because of the warmer temps and the rain, the snow won't be able to accumulate much. However, still be careful while driving. This is especially true on Wednesday as the rain changes to snow. Slick roads are almost a given.
