Today showers will be very hit and miss. A batch first moves in this morning then we still keep our spotty chances through the afternoon. The clouds should break up a bit in the afternoon. MOST of the rain will be overnight tonight through tomorrow morning. Even though we are under a slight risk for severe weather the main threat will be localized flooding.
Once a cold front passes on Tuesday we will dry out and clear out on Wednesday which will be one of the better days we have this week. Temps still surging through the 80s even though it is technically the FIRST DAY OF FALL! In meteorology we keep seasonal record by months so Fall is September, October and November.
Another round of rain chances moves back in late work week but once that cold front pushes through it will start to feel like Fall. Day 7 of September looks to be the first day back in the mid 70s with comfortable conditions.
