Dragons Rained-Out on Wednesday after 4 Innings of Play

Dayton, Ohio--The Midwest League game between the Dayton Dragons and South Bend Silver Hawks at Fifth Third Field on Wednesday, May 14 has been canceled due to rain.  The game was stopped in the middle of the fourth inning with the score tied at 2-2.  The teams do not meet again in the first half season, so the game will not be completed.

Fans holding tickets for the Wednesday, May 14 game should retain their ticket stubs as a rain check.

Fans can exchange their May 14 game tickets for a ticket of equal or lesser value; or fans may exchange one (1) stadium seating bowl ticket for two (2) lawn tickets for any remaining Dragons home game during the 2014 season, based upon availability. This can be done at the Dragons Box Office at Fifth Third Field.

The Dragons will post an exchange form on their web site for fans wishing to process their exchange via mail.

For groups and single game buyers, please contact your Dragons group ticket sales/service representative or the Dragons Box Office.

This information will also be posted on the Dragons web site.  For additional information, please go to daytondragons.com or call the front office at (937) 228-2287.

The Dragons took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a run-scoring double by Sammy Diaz before South Bend tied it in the top of the third.  Daytons Phillip Ervin belted a home run in the bottom of the third but South Bend answered with one run in the top of the fourth to knot the score at 2-2.  Because the game did not reach five innings, none of the statistics from the game will become official.

The Dragons gained a half-game on West Michigan on Wednesday after the Whitecaps lost to Great Lakes.  The result moves the Dragons back into first place, .005 percentage points ahead of West Michigan.

The Dragons travel to Lansing, Michigan to meet the Lansing Lugnuts in the start to a four-game series on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m.   Amir Garrett (0-3, 6.04) will start for Dayton against Lansings Chase De Jong (0-1, 3.71). The next Dragons home game at Fifth Third Field is Monday, May 19 against the Great Lakes Loons at 7:00 p.m. All Dragons games can be heard on WONE Radio (980 AM) and via the internet at wone.com and through the Dragons Mobile App.
