Dash Cam Video and Dispatch Audio Released from Walmart Shooting

BEAVERCREEK -- Newly released dash cam video and dispatch audio recordings from the night of the officer involved shooting inside the Walmart in Beavercreek allows us to hear what officers heard as they arrived on the scene... and hear what was said just moments after the shooting.

Beavercreek's City Attorney released the five discs of information Thursday afternoon.

"Black male, six-foot, wearing a blue shirt blue pants in the pets section, holding a gun," said dispatchers to Beavercreek officers.

Police rush to the Walmart in Beavercreek after a man calls 911.

"I have a gentleman who's watching him who says he's waving it around, believes it's a rifle, believes he just put some bullets inside," said the dispatcher to police.

"90, I'm at Walmart, you said he was pointing it at people?" said an officer as he arrived on the scene.

"Affirmative, he's in the pet section," said the dispatcher in response.

Dash cam video shows an officer in white walking toward a cruiser with a rifle in his hand.

A few seconds later that same officer is joined by another in full uniform.

They walk into the Walmart together.

Within seconds, several Beavercreek cruisers arrive and more officers rush in.

This is what we hear....

"Suspect down," said an officer inside the Walmart.

Inaudible ... "Just had shots fired, start an ambulance," said another officer inside the store.

Medics drive up to the scene and head inside.

In the midst of the chaos...

"There's a female customer back in the sporting goods section that's having a medical emergency I'll need an additional medic for her," said an officer inside the store.

"76, our second patient is in full arrest, just FYI," said medics to dispatchers.

The second medic was for Angela Williams, who collapsed from an apparent medical condition after the shooting.

A few minutes later, medics come out with a patient and put that person into the medic.

After the medic leaves the two officers who first ran into the Walmart are seen walking out.

The one in full uniform is still carrying his weapon. The other no longer has his rifle.

Several minutes later, this request is made to dispatch.

"Contact the on-call Greene County Prosecutor. We're going to need him to respond to the scene," said an officer to dispatch.
