UPDATE: Coroner Identifies Teen Beaten to Death

Continued Coverage:
WARREN COUNTY--Franklin Police said Dione Payne, 16,  from Dayton was beaten to death in Franklin.

Police said  Payne was in Franklin, to sell drugs  when he was  robbed and beaten for his money and drugs.

"I know there was blunt force trauma to the body itself." Franklin Police Chief Russ Whitman said.

Franklin investigators said the beating happened at a home on Vernon Street.

Police arrested Michael Geldrich and Michael Watson.
Both men are charged  with aggravated robbery and murder.

Jasmyne Gordon works  close to where the beating happened.  "That's horrible.  We thought it was drugs. We see it all the time here."

Atrium  Medical Center  surveillance video showed the men dropping the teen off at the emergency entrance and getting away in a black pick up truck.
Middletown and Franklin police worked together and tracked down the truck; which led to the suspects.

"The pieces just fell together so quickly. I think if  we had not worked together as a team,  it couldn't have been solved so quickly."  Whitman said.

According  to the police report,  the teen had severe head and chest injuries  and also appeared to have been sexually  assaulted.

Gordon is glad police  were able to make  an arrest.

"At least they found them and justice will be served."

UPDATE:  The coroner has identified the teen who died shortly after he was dropped off at the hospital.

Police say 16-year-old Dione Payne was unconscious at the time he was brought to the hospital.  Officials say he suffered major injuries.

Middletown police also confirm there is evidence of sexual assault.

Two men have been arrested for the murder.  Michael J. Watson, 39, and 36-year-old Michael A. Geldrich have been charged with with aggravated robbery and aggravated murder.
