2013: Terry Ramsey - Northmont Defensive End
CLAYTON -- Terry Ramsey and Northmont went 7-3 a year ago but in the always crowded region four the Thunderbolts missed out on the playoffs.
But this year Northmont returns well over a dozen seniors.
With a stout defense that allowed more than 20 points only twice last year the Thunderbolts are thinking big this season.
Ramsey says there's at least 10 players that will eventually suit up for D-I colleges which adds to the lofty goals he has for the Bolts.
"Everybody's working hard, you know everybody's going to put in work. Most of the players that are going D-I are coming to two workouts instead of one just to put in that much work so we can get better for next year. We got to go to state. Right now we're all saying state, state, state but you know everybody's putting in work in the weight room. I hear a lot of talking I need to see more action, we have to have people step up," Ramsey said.
Northmont opens the season August 30th against Thurgood Marshall at Welcome Stadium.
