Top 22: Shawnee's Myles Copley
SPRINGFIELD - After a 10-2 season, the Braves were forced to forefeit their first five games for an ineligible player.
But once again, the expectations are high at Shawnee, which will be led in the trenches by All-CBC selection Myles Copley.
The 260-pound senior will start for the third straight year and second at center.
"We're looking forward to going 10-0 this year," Copley said. "We want to win the region and make it to playoffs. That's what our goals are every year."
"(Myles) is a leader up on the line," head coach Rick Meeks said. "He's done a really fantastic job for us this year and we're going to be counting on him a lot on both sides of the ball." Springfield Shawnee opens up at home against Butler.
