2013: Tito Odenigbo emerging for undefeated Elks
CENTERVILLE -- Senior defensive tackle Tito Odenigbo is trying to be the next in a line of Centerville defensive lineman to go to a BCS conference college and do well.
Tito's older brother Ifeadi is at Northwestern where he made a difference for the Wildcats in Saturday's game against Ohio State. The Buckeyes also have a former Elk on the d-line. Michael Bennett was a regular in the Northwestern backfield disrupting the Wildcats offense and also coming up with a sack.
The list is too long to list of players Centerville has sent to college especially on the defensive line and for Tito he is still developing to try and get to the level of those who came before him.
Elks head coach Ron Ullery said this summer that Tito progressed and got much better and it wasn't until week two or three when the senior showed just how good of a player he could be.
Tito is committed to play at Illinois and has helped get Centerville to an undefeated 6-0 start to the season.
The Elks are ranked 6th in the state and with a young team look to continue surprising teams and make a deep run in the playoffs.
