UPDATE: Car Hydroplanes Off Road, Family Rescued from Flood Water
CLEARCREEK TOWNSHIP -- A frantic call for help when a family is swept off the road by raging flood waters.

"She keeps telling my mom that her husband and her baby are in the water," said the caller to dispatchers.

A woman is carried downstream while her husband and three year old daughter cling to the roof of the family car.

The family was driving from Cincinnati to Springboro when their car hydroplaned and ended up in the high water.

After struggling to get out, the mother was swept downstream where she managed to get out of the water.

"I woke up and I heard screaming," said Jade Black.

Black shows me where Nathiya Suresh jumped two fences to get to her back door.

"She was Screaming and crying and she was crying help me Jesus help me Jesus," said Black, "She was saying that her husband and baby we're in the water."

"She was swept away two or three miles down the road where she was able to get out of the water," said Officer Eric Ney, Clearkcreek Township Fire Department.

Officer Eric Ney was first on the scene off State Route 741 in Clearcreek Township.

"I stopped put on my lights got out and I heard a gentleman screaming way back in the woods," said Officer Ney.

So he walked behind these trees, 60 yards until he found Pichandi Suresh, clenching onto a tree limb, barely standing on the roof of this car, in his underwear after taking his pants and shirt off to wrap around his little girl to keep her warm, as they fought the raging water.

"Said he was very weak he'd been there for over an hour and didn't know how much longer he could hang on," said Officer Ney.

"When you hear something like that it just sounds unrealistic," said Black.

But it was reality, and thanks to good samaritans and a Clearcreek Township Officer the family was reunited.

"It was a good feeling getting both of them together because they both feared the worst for the other party," said Officer Ney.

"They persevered and that this woman in shock trekked two miles and ended up on our doorstep," said Black.

For Jade, it was more than luck that brought Nathiya to her home and it's something she'll never forget.

"People look at the news and they see tragedies happen everyday but it's so nice to be able to have a happy ending," said Black.

The family didn't want to be treated at the hospital.

So the Clearcreek Township Officer personally drove them home.

We're told they're doing well.

CLEARCREEK TOWNSHIP, Warren County -- A man, woman and baby were swept into flood waters this morning after their vehicle reportedly lost control on the wet road.

Police say the family was traveling from the Sharonville area near Cincinnati on State Route 741 near West Pekin Road. The car hydroplaned on standing water and then crashed into the ditch and was then swept into a nearby creek.

The wife got out of the car to get help, while the husband and baby stayed with the car.

A woman who lives nearby called 911 and told the operator the woman was very wet when she came to her back door and asked for help. She spoke very little English but had indicated she needed to get help for her family.

Police eventually found the car, with the man and baby on the roof of the car.

Police and fire crews were able to rescue them; however, they say it was too far away from the road to be pulled from the flood water at that time.

Crews have since returned to the area and pulled the car out.
