Suspicious Device Blown Up Safely Near Home of Domestic Violence Investigation
UPDATE:  MIAMISBURG--A Miamisburg man is locked up, following a  bomb squad call out.

Six families were evacuated Friday, during the bomb scare  on    Terrington Way.
 
Police tell us a woman showed up with injuries at the Miamisburg Police Department. 38- year- old Aaron Taylor  was arrested for  domestic violence.

Police said  they went to the home  to question Taylor, and  found a mortar round in his Terrington Way home. 
    
The Dayton  bomb squad was called out, six families near the home were evacuated as crews blew up the  device, about a half mile away on Benner Road. 

The loud boom spooked some neighbors.

"That scared me."  Vicki Hebbard said.  "I have to admit,  that did alarm me."  

 "It shook my car. It was really loud." Bethany Fly said.  
 
Police had Terrington Road closed much of the day.  The  neighborhood was  back open Friday night.

 MIAMISBURG -- Police say the suspicious items found by Miamisburg Police who were responding to a reported domestic violence call early Friday were mortar rounds.

The Dayton Bomb Squad responded and, about 2:50 p.m. safely detonated the mortars in a nearby field on Benner Road.

Six families were evacuated during the investigation.

According to police, a woman arrived early Friday morning at the Miamisburg Police station to report an incident of domestic violence by her husband, later identified as 38-year-old Aaron Taylor. Police arrested him at 12:06 p.m. Friday.

So far, Taylor is facing a domestic violence charge. There's no word yet on whether he faces any other charges.

MIAMISBURG -- The Dayton Bomb Squad has been called to a home in Miamisburg, where police have gathered at 1206 Terrington Way.

Neighbors have told us that something suspicious was found in the home, which the police are now investigating. Police have yet to talk to the news and we have not confirmed the neighbor's statement.

In addition to the police and Bomb Squad a couple of fire trucks are nearby.

There have been no evacuations in the neighborhood.
