Question of the Day
Should the trooper fired for DUI get her job back?
| 16.66% | YES | |
| 83.33% | NO |
Comment: What would happen if a normal person got pulled over for dui and 37mph over the speed limit get for punishment. She should be fired and serve jail time. That's beyond reckless. Why isn't m.a.d.d screaming from the rooftops on this.We always hear about how the police are special and how their safety is more important than normal law abiding citizens. So shouldn't they be held to a higher standard.I guess not. It goes back to the what's good for me isn't for thee.Sounds like politicians from dayton by Tired of the B.S.
Comment: Officers should not be given special treatment. She violated the safety of citizens and has proven herself unfit to serve as an officer of the law. It is a disgrace that she is back at work, especially considering she's received back pay. One word; ridiculous. from Englewood, Ohio by Ben
Comment: No she should not get here job back. As a tax payer do I now have to watch the state place a bad risk back on the road, with a weapon? expecting her to ack in my best interest. No! too much of a risk for me. Put Red and yellow tags on her personal vehicle , let her wirk at Wal-Mart from Dayton, Ohio by George
Comment: It doesn't surprise me that they have lowered their standards just like the military . If she pulls me over,I will not reconize her badge, and will demand a real trooper no matter what! from Hamilton, oho by Cecil

Comment: I think reinstating her was appropriate but NOT reimbursing her back pay. Those who do jail time who are NOT officers do not get back pay for time in lock up. I hope she is taking drug/alcohol classes and being monitored and was demoted. from Portland, IN by T.
Comment: Hell no! Twice the legal limit while speeding 40 MPH over? It's a miracle she didn't kill someone. Shouldn't we hold LE to a higher standard? Obviously, this woman has no integrity and deserves no respect from anyone. How could she ever arrest someone for DUI. The lawyers would have a field day with it. from New Carlisle, Oh by Al
Comment: officers are supposed to hold a higher standard and be examples for the community he should never be allowed to be an officer again from miamisburg by matt
Comment: How can you justify 102 mph and under the influence. None of this makes sense. We are all just lucky that she didn't kill someone. Who does she know? Really? by Debbie
