Question of the Day

Who won tonight's presidential debate?

31.57% Barack Obama
68.42% Mitt Romney

Comment: Clearly Obama won. from Dayton, OH by Courtland

Comment: It wasn't a blowout but Obama won an ugly fight. from Riverside, OH by Kyle

Comment: President Obama is the best thing that's happened to the US since Bill Clinton! from Dayton,Ohio by Jennifer

Comment: I didn't want to write anything about this embarrassingly obvious get-Romney town hall set up but the stench is making me nauseous. Masterful work by the President. Equally so by the supposed "undecided" question readers. An excellent performance in character assassination by our commander in chief. This is as choreographed and staged as any good democrat PR campaign ad. Our community-organizer turned chief has proven himself to be one heck of a net-worker. He's got people in the audience working for him. He's got the the moderator working for him. Who knows how wide his campaign has reached out. Romney walked into the OK Coral with an unloaded pistol tonight. They'll be lots of high fives all over the media-world. The one person Obama doesn't have on his side is his much talked about single mother. Or his father. If they were around, they'd have to grab his ear, run him to the bathroom and wash his mouth out with soap. Last time I fact checked the Scriptures, bearing false witness against another person is still one of the commandments. I'll take a polite, LDS gentleman with a proven record of business success and moral courage over a habitual liar any day of the week. by Owen

Comment: what about the 47%.A few weeks ago Mitt said he didn't care about them. Then tonight he said he was for 100% of the people. What can you believe? I believe what he said first time.If he didn't mean it he wouldn't have said it. from Ohio by Phyllis

Comment: Romney needed to focus on answering questions and not bashing Obama. from Springfield/ohio by aunjel

Comment: The President was clearly more comfortable in this kind of debate forum. from Trotwood/ Ohio by James

Comment: THINK OBAMA'S DONE NOTHING? HERE ARE MORE THAN 200 FIRST TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS, WITH CITATIONS....http://pleasecutthecrap.typepad.com/main/what-has-obama-done-since-january-20-2009.html from Dayton Ohio by Christine

Comment: President Obama won,he has a real plan to turn our country around.I am totally fed up with all the republican politicians who got our country in this economic mess,& who have not done anything to help our president try & get us out of the deep hole we are in.I think Obama has done alot to improve things inspite of the do nothing attitude of the republicans in Congress. All of congress should put whats best for our country above all else. Its sad that we have to pay them for just not doing anything. They want to cut Soc sec, medicaid, medicare,Obamacare, planned parenthood, anything&everythingfor the poor&elderly, but want their pay,&their rich oil czars, insurance & drug lobbyists, manufacturers,&co like GE who didnt even pay any txs at all, to keep getting all the cream off the top of this country, while the little guys &the elderly&poor are expected to pay the bill & do without.Enough is Enough!!Where are the lobbyists for the middle class & under??President Obama & Biden & Hillary Clinton are doing a good job!!!Can they do more?I think they can & will,& deserve another 4yrs!!! from Dayton,Oh by Linda

Comment: He did very well from dayton ohio by vicki

Comment: Smarter and has more convincing arguments. Obama can relate to common, middle class people. from Centerville by Jackie

Comment: He answered all questions and asked some of his own. from Fairborn, OH by Amber

Comment: I Think Mitt Romey from Waynesville Ohio 45068 by Konrad

Comment: Although Obama was MUCH more engaged this time and definitely a contender and scored points, I can actually see Romney's vision working, being affective and his being open to modify according to what is needed to get the country back on track. from Springfield, OH by Jayne

Comment: When you can't run on a failed record, you fail to run. from Dayton, OH by Daniel

Comment: He was gracious to the people attending, Obama was arrogant, rude, and mispronounced names, not to mention gave false information. from Dayton, OH by Tammy

Comment: Mitt Romney~ Always a Man of Class, Integrity & Service for the Greater Good. The Clear Winner. from Kettering by Peg

Comment: Obama can't change the facts. He's got nothing to run on. from Lewisburg, Ohio by Steve

Comment: I believe it was Romney because every accusation that Obama laid on him he was able to respond to. I do not believe that Obama was able to do so mainly because he was not able, or willing, to address his record while in office. Obama could not respond to the negatives brought about by Romney. The exchange regarding oil I thought was one of the best exchanges of the evening. from Clayton, Ohio by Richard

Comment: Obama made promises to lower the unemployment rate and didn't deliver. It's time for a change. from Lebanon/OH by Stephen

Comment: Obama talks all around the questions but never answers the question. Still making excuses.Never explains what his plan is except to spend more and continue to put us in deeper debt. from Brookville by Richard

Comment: Obama answered questions that weren't even asked of him! Subject changes made him look evasive from Ohio by Heidi

Comment: Obama had nothing from Dayton by David

Comment: "President" Obama thoroughly lied multiple times. He was rhetorical with his answers and tried to make Romney look bad again. I am a middle class citizen and strongly believe that Obama wishes to make America a socialistic society! Every policy he has is garbage! The economy is atrocious! I loved how he danced around all of the tough questions like the lawyer he is. Worst president I've ever seen! By the way, stop blaming Bush. Clinton was the one who cut military spending, and could have taken out Bin Laden in 1998, but didn't. Clinton signed the bill in 2000 that "put every American in a home" that led to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac buying all of those bad mortgages from the banks and mortgage companies, which led to the market crash in 2008. All of the liberals that dont understand finance should watch the movie "Margin Call" and take a finance class so that you can understand what happened. Yes, we had a budget surplus during the Clinton years... Thank you dot-com boom!!! Back to Obama... How can he even compare to 25 years of successful business experience? With four years of doubling the deficit of America? Ya that sounds about right! Lets trust a lawyer for 4 more years! That's an oxymoron for those that don't understand sarcasm! That moderator was a joke as well! Another poor performance from the imcumbant, and another win for Romney! from Beavercreek by Anthony

Comment: Romney is clearly the most equipped candidate and best man to run our country. from Tipp City by Brenda

Comment: Clearly Romney. Obama's record speaks for itself, our economy is in a far worse state! Also how can Americans support a man to lead us, one that has never had a real job, built a successful business, created jobs or balanced budgets... from Centerville OH by Frustrated single mom

Comment: Easily. All Obama did was rehash the lies in his commercials. Sad we have a president like that. But that will change. from Germantown OH by Karl

Comment: The debates don't mean much to me; I base my vote on the track record of the candidates and where they stand on the issues (and will therefore be voting for the Gary Johnson/ Jim Grey ticket). That being said, it's clear that although Obama is a great speaker, Romney is a very tenacious debater and would be a nightmare to get in an argument with. from Centerville, Ohio by Sam

Comment: factual has a clear plan and he has done this already. obama has done the opposite of what he says he would do from Dayton Ohio by Debbie

Comment: Romney was believable. from Troy by Lucy

Comment: Closer to a draw, but with a slight edge to Romney. After the last time, Obama was going to look good just by not being so BAD again. from Beavercreek, OH by Mark

Comment: Binders full of women? C'mon Fox 45! Shame on you! Mr. Romney was clearly stating that they found "many qualified" women to hire, just as he had requested. Shame on you for lowering yourself to the likes of MSNBC! I have found myself watching you exclusively in the morning, but after this I may have to start changing the channel. Sad. from Dayton by Maggie

Comment: I chose Mitt Romney for two reasons. 1.) The moderator never tried to save him. Crowley WAS WRONG on her Rose Garden Statement. The president mentioned terror in a broad sense at the very end of his speech, but NEVER called the Benghazi attack a terrorist attack! 2.) The Benghazi discussion was short and quick, and Romeny was cut off. He wasn't even given rebutal time! I think he could have put the kill shot on the president had the discussion not have halted so abrubtly with Crowley saving Obama and pivoting. If it hadn't been for these two things, I think the debate was split pretty evenly. from Englewood by Amy

Comment: OMG it was hands down. Obama was a disappointment akk the way around once again. He needs to call U-Haul and start packing. from Fairborn by Bill

Comment: Obama, you were an idiot again. What gives, you have lost our votes. from Fairborn by Willard

Comment: The President looked angry and did not provide any direction or plan. He was almost as rude as the VP during his debate. from Clevland, Oiho by Troy
